Japan's flag carrier, founded in 1951, which went through bankruptcy protection in 2010 and was relisted on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2012.
Japan Airlines was founded on 1 August 1951 and is based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, flying from Haneda and Narita.
It joined oneworld on 1 April 2007. JAL applied for protection under Japan's Corporate Rehabilitation Law on 19 January 2010 and completed a new listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on 19 September 2012. Its main routes are flown with the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 787 and 777.
